I keep my tap faucets clean. Why do I need to use a full line-cleaning system?

Beer contains proteins, carbohydrates and hundreds of other organic compounds. Yeast and bacteria routinely enter draught systems where they feed on beer and attach to draught lines. Minerals also precipitate from beer, leaving deposits in lines and fixtures. Without proper cleaning, these deposits soon affect beer flavor and appearance. No one wants to drink something that smells off, taste flat, or has impurities floating in it. When customers see and taste those things, they will stop frequenting that place of business, resulting in lost sales and profits, not just from draft beer, but for the entire establishment. Poor draft quality also affects the customer's perception of that beer brand, leading to a poor relationship with the brewery, who may no longer want their product served at your place.

How is BrewTru's cleaning method better than what I'm using now?

Many states require regular draught line cleaning, but all too often the techniques used fall short of what is needed to actually maintain draught quality. Oklahoma does not require cleaning methods seen as the standard in other states. The national Brewers Association recommends the use of a recirculating system for thorough cleaning. Recirculation pump cleaning uses a combination of caustic chemicals and mechanical action to effectively clean a draught system, by increasing the normal flow rate through the beer lines during the process.

BrewTru is currently the only company in Oklahoma City offering this level of service.

Do I have to get ALL of my lines cleaned at once?

Well, it depends. Many breweries require a full and regular cleaning of any lines that serve their beer. Often, their contract with the local broker will include this service, in which case the brewer/broker will cover costs for the maintenance. Our services, and the cleaning schedule, would be contracted with them. Any lines that AREN'T covered this way would be your responsibility for contracting, if you choose to have your whole draft system cleaned.
